To provide faster and more direct communication between CAMTC and California massage schools, CAMTC will host a Monthly Schools Conference Call the first Wednesday of every month at 2:00pm. To participate in the upcoming conference call, simply call the phone number below and then when prompted, enter the passcode below followed by the # sign:
Phone number: 877-366-0711
Passcode: 82373574 #
The easy accessibility and frequency of these monthly conference calls will allow schools to receive current CAMTC/ESD information, ask questions, and make recommendations in a timely and direct manner. These monthly conference calls work in conjunction with our quarterly CAMTC School Newsletter and Schools Advisory Committee to foster closer relationships with schools by enhancing communication and the accessibility of relevant information.
The schools conference calls are provided as a service for current owners and administrators of CAMTC Approved Schools, to receive information and have questions answered. While others are welcome to listen in, only school owners and administrators may participate with questions and/or suggestions about CAMTC School Approval, the approval process, CAMTC Certification as it applies to schools, or any other topics related to schools and CAMTC. Although not required, please submit your school-related questions in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org for answers on the next conference call.
An email reminder will be sent to CAMTC Approved Schools, with the phone number and passcode approximately 3 weeks before the conference calls each month. CAMTC invites you to participate, whether you ask questions or silently listen to questions and answers. Callers who are not massage school owners or administrators will have 2 minutes towards the end of the call to make a statement, if time permits.
All approved schools and those applying for re-approval should submit an application for change preferably before the change goes into effect or, at maximum, within 30 days after the change has gone into effect. To submit these changes, schools should use the forms in the new CAMTC Application for Massage Program Re-Approval.
CAMTC recommends submitting the application for re-approval a minimum of six months in advance of your school’s expiration date. To learn more about the massage program re-approval process and instructions, click here and then click on the School Login icon. Note that a login for schools is not required at this time.
Applications for re-approval have been submitted and the first re-approvals occurred in June 2, 2018.

Generally, if you attended a school that was in good standing at the time it closed, and the school CLOSED before July 1, 2016, you may apply using your education from the closed school for CAMTC Certification purposes but, if the custodian of records for the school is not a CAMTC Approved School, then you must provide either continuous and current proof of a city or county permit to provide massage for compensation, or pass an education hearing. For schools with custodians of records that are a CAMTC Approved School in good standing, and closed before July 1, 2016, no education hearing or continuous proof of city or county permits is required. Please see the Policies and Procedures for Approval of Schools for more details on the applicability of this policy.
If you attended a school that has requested CAMTC school approval on or before December 31, 2018, and is ultimately denied, you may still apply for CAMTC Certification using education from the denied school as long as your CAMTC Application for Certification is received within 90 days of the effective date of denial. If you attended a school whose Application for CAMTC School Approval is received on or after January 1, 2019, you may not use education from the school for CAMTC Certification unless the school’s application is ultimately approved.
In the interest of consumer protection, CAMTC does not list schools with pending applications.
